  speaker  Marie Mercat-Bruns is a tenured Associate Law Professor at the L
 abor and Employment Law Chair of the Conservatoire National des Arts et Mé
 tiers (CNAM) where she is a member of the Research Institute LISE CNRS (Gr
 oup\, Relational Theories on Gender).  She is also a member of the scienti
 fic committee of Presage (Sciences Po/OFCE Research and Academic Program o
 n Gender Thinking).  Outside of her coursework at the CNAM\, she teaches a
 t Sciences Po: 'Diversity and affirmative action'\, 'Concept and Practice 
 of Diversity'\, 'Gender law and queer theory'\, and 'Comparative law on Pe
 rsons and Personhood.'  About the Annie MacDonald Langstaff Workshops  Ina
 ugurated in 1988 in honour of Annie MacDonald Langstaff\, BCL '14\, the fi
 rst woman to earn a law degree in Quebec\, the workshops provide a forum f
 or academics\, judges\, lawyers\, and community activists to present schol
 arly research and practical insights on issues relating to women and the l
